FOUNDER OF MBCW
Inspired by an ACK course I completed, I wanted to create something similar but faster, cheaper, and more interactive. I created the ‘My Book Creating Workshop’ when I was thirteen, encouraging children aged six to twelve to sign up and learn about the intricate process that went into turning trains of thought into actual cartoons. I had successfully converted a two-week-long course into a crisp, two-hour-long course that accomplished all three goals I had set out to achieve. I was able to brighten the Saturdays of 10 children who signed up, leading to me earning over a thousand rupees, all on my own. On top of this, every single parent gave me a metaphorical pat on the back for keeping their children busy for a weekend, working on their new ideas. Though it may appear to be a small feat, for me, it still remains one of my proudest achievements and one of the best days of my life.
event head and compere at CASCADE 28
The 28th edition of Cascade was a completely different experience from anything else I had ever done. It was the most hands-on, real-life-like situation I had ever been a part of. From staying up till 2 a.m. in school to prepare for the next day’s events to discussing plans for how to cut down our speeches to less than ninety seconds while sharing McDonald’s, there was never once a dull moment as a member of CasPro, the most important committee of Cascade. Though I was required to help with all events, the two I was in charge of were a) Power Pitch, a business idea pitch of which I was the head, and b) Courtroom Chronicles, an investigative courtroom trial of which I was the compere.
EDITOR AND PHOTOGRAPHER FOR THE SCHOOL MAGAZINE
As a member of the ‘DP-360 Degrees’ school magazine, I write approximately two to three articles per month that are published by the school. In addition to this, I am the lead photographer on the team and am in charge of taking pictures of all official school events. Last but not least, I also work on designing, formatting, and editing the actual magazine itself. Sticking to deadlines, working around the clock, and having a commitment to this team really made me feel as if I were a professional magazine editor, writer, and photographer.
SPECIAL MENTION and night crisis selection AT iyc
Taking part in the IYC as part of the GMC (Global Media Conglomerate) was a thrilling experience. Though my peers assumed all I did was sit behind my desk and type away on my laptop, it was so much more than that. I was at the forefront of all questions, crises, and debates. The event gave me a taste of what it is like to be a journalist. For my efforts, I received a special mention. In addition to this, I was one of three members selected for the Night Crisis, a prestigious group of only the most skilled members who were given another topic of debate.
MEMBER OF THE BUSINESS CLUB
Being a member of the business club of Jamnabai Narsee School is more than just attending meetings in a fancy suit; it’s an emotion. I never knew much about business but was (and still am) curious to learn by nature, so I decided to apply for this club. Fourteen other members and I were accepted into the club, and our time as members ranged from presentations of different industries to see whether they would fail or succeed in different markets and even a visit to the NSE [National Stock Exchange] of India.
IAYP SILVER LEVEL holder
I was always interested in communication and its types, and learning my first language through IAYP further heightened my curiosity. It was an interesting experience, to say the least. Though I am always up for a challenge, the extreme language barrier in this scenario was not an easy hurdle to overcome. However, with a little bit of enthusiasm from my tutor, I was able to spend over thirteen hours working on developing my hand movements for colour, household objects, common phrases, and much more to learn Indian Sign Language [ISL]. This success gave me an itch to learn another language. And I found it in the form of Dutch. My tutor this time, however, wasn’t a tutor in the classical sense. My tutor was Duolingo. Knowing the basics of both Dutch and the ISL convinced me that I had what it took to try something new, and so, I chose Spanish Ab initio as my second language as part of my IBDP course.
winner of fcl 2017
My first year at FCL was embarrassing, to say the least. Though I was the only one on my entire team to score a single goal throughout the tournament, the only other team in our age category humiliated us, winning every single game. However, we fought back the following season in a much more competitive category and came home to win the title in the U-11 category against 15 other teams instead of just 1. The final was one with a score of 2-0, in our favour, and I competed in that match on the last day of my school trip, changing into gear on the way to the field.
winner of the club squash tournament 2023
I have been playing squash for over 8 years and have taken part in several tournaments, such as the SFL. However, though it isn’t a tournament at the highest level, the tournament organised by The Club is one that is close to my heart as it is the club where I have been playing squash all my life. And after repeatedly winning the runner-up prize twice in a row, I finally got the sweet taste of victory and won in the U-17 category.

I took part in the Annual Athletic Meet, hosted by my school, Jamnabai Narsee International School, and took home three medals. I finished third in the 80m hurdles sprint, third in the 4 x 100m relay, and second in the 400m run. I also qualified 4th for the 100m sprint and 4th for the 200m sprint.
